HONDA CIVIC TPMS DESCRIPTION
2021 Honda Civic tire pressure monitors detect a change in tire conditions and overall dimensions due to a decrease in pressure. The tire pressure monitoring system is activated automatically each time the engine is started. This is a safety feature of the vehicle. Honda TPMS on this vehicle doesn’t measure the pressure in each tire directly. For a full guide on all things Honda TPMS read this article.
Instead, it monitors and compares the rolling radius and rotational characteristics of each wheel and tire while you’re driving to figure out if one or more tires are significantly under-inflated. (Honda uses its ABS sensors, to learn more about how this works, read this article.) If the system does determine that a tire is low on air, the low tire pressure/tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) will illuminate on the driver’s dashboard.
WHEN TO PERFORM RESET
– After adjusting the tire pressure in one or more tires.
– After rotating the tires. (Cordless Impact Wrench)
– Replace one or more tires. – If snow chains are installed, remove them prior to tire calibration.

HONDA CIVIC TPMS TIPS AND WARNINGS
→ Conditions such as low ambient temperatures and altitude changes will directly affect tire pressure, and will set off the Honda TPMS.
–>This tire pressure monitoring system has a way to detect if there is a problem with the TPMS itself. If the TPMS warning lamp blinks for about a minute and then stays on, there is a problem with the TPMS system or the spare tire is installed on the vehicle. (Best Cordless Tire Inflators)
–>Honda recommends using the OEM brand tire and wheels when replacements are necessary. This will prevent TPMS system issues.
–>If the vehicle battery dies, after jumping or replacing the battery, the TPMS system warning will come on, after driving a short distance the TPMS system warning indicator will go off. (Battery Jump Box)
